RECCO® SYSTEM

Patented RECCO® technology is a two-part system made of an active detector worn by a rescuer and a passive reflector worn by an user.

How does it work?

1. RECCO detector emits a directed radar signal similar to a flashlight beam.
2. When the radar signal gets to a RECCO reflector echoes back to the detector and directs the rescuer towards the injured person
3. The closer reflector is to the detector, the stronger the return signal, which ultimately allows the rescuer to determine the location of the injured person.

RECCO® reflector

The RECCO reflector allows the rescuer to locate You. RECCO reflectors are lightweight,
passive transponders that do not require power or activation to operate. They consist of
a diode and an antenna. RECCO reflectors are designed to last a lifetime, they do not age or wear out. If they are not mechanically damaged, they will last forever.
